Stringing / oozing
Thin hairs or cobwebs stretched between separate parts of the print.
Warping / corners lifting
Corners or edges of the print peel up off the bed as it cools.
First layer not sticking
The first layer doesn't adhere to the bed, or lines don't fuse together.
Under-extrusion / thin lines
Lines are thinner than they should be, with gaps or weak extrusion.
Clogged nozzle / no extrusion
Filament stops extruding, or extrudes intermittently with grinding.
Bubbles / popping / rough surface
Popping sounds, rough surfaces, or visible bubbles in the print.
Delamination / layers separating
Layers split apart, or the part breaks easily along layer lines.
Layer lines / banding
Visible horizontal lines or bands on the print surface.
Layer shift / steps
Layers are offset horizontally, creating a step in the print.
Blobs / zits
Small bumps or blobs on the print surface, especially at layer starts.
Poor top surface / gaps
Top layers have gaps, pillowing, or an uneven finish.
Ringing / ghosting
Wavy patterns or echoes on the print surface, especially after direction changes.
Elephant's foot
The bottom of the print bulges outward, wider than the rest.
Sagging overhangs
Overhangs droop or sag instead of printing cleanly.
